What is FlouMe?
FlouMe is a location-based photo app: you pin a photo at the exact GPS spot where you took it, and friends can only unlock it by physically walking to that place. Your map fills up with memories anchored to the real world — trips, gifts, puzzles and public pins to discover nearby.
How does unlocking a photo work?
A pin shows up locked on your map. Walk to the place where the photo was taken and the app verifies your GPS position — then the photo reveals, right there where it happened. No screenshots of a gallery, no scrolling feed: you earn each photo with your feet.
How close do I need to be to unlock a pin?
About 75 meters from the pinned spot. The check is aware of real-world GPS accuracy, so it works reliably in dense cities, under trees, or indoors near the location — without letting anyone unlock from across town.
Is FlouMe free?
Yes. FlouMe is free to download and use on iPhone.
Is FlouMe available on Android?
Not yet — FlouMe is currently iPhone-only. Android is planned. Email hello@floume.app with the subject “Notify me on Android” and we'll tell you the day it lands.
Who can see my photos?
You decide per pin: share with all your friends, lock it to a single person, or make it public so anyone walking nearby can discover and unlock it. Photos are never public unless you explicitly choose that.
What is a Pin Gift?
A private photo plus a voice note, pinned to a place and locked to one friend. It appears wrapped on their map, and only they can open it — by walking there. You can also schedule it to open on a future date: a birthday, an anniversary, the day they fly home.
What are Trips?
Pins taken around the same place and time automatically cluster into a trip — no albums to manage. You can invite friends to pin into the same trip, chat about it inside the trip, and share the whole thing with a single link.
What are Puzzles?
Scavenger hunts built from pins. You pin the clues across a city and friends solve the hunt spot by spot — every step only unlocks by physically walking there.
Can someone fake their GPS location to unlock a pin?
No. Unlocks are verified on the server with anti-spoofing checks, not just on the phone. Mock-location tricks and GPS spoofing apps don't work — the whole point of FlouMe is that every unlock is a real visit.
What happens if someone screenshots my photo?
You get notified. Your photos are yours, and FlouMe tells you when someone takes a screenshot of one.
Which languages does FlouMe support?
English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Indonesian and Japanese. The app follows your device language automatically. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
I own a café or shop — what is FlouMe for Places?
FlouMe for Places lets local businesses drop geo-locked offers on the map, run GPS-verified loyalty punch cards, and redeem claims with a QR scan at the till. Every claim is a person physically standing in your venue. See floume.app/places for details.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app, or follow the steps at floume.app/delete-account.
